80 percent of Ukraine's population were stripped of anything they had. Their homes were stormed by Soviet troops, and sometimes the soldiers took innocent family members, accused them of treason, and then killed them. Stalin gained the Soviets, who were for him, and approved of what he was doing. The Soviets saw the Kulaks (under Stalins influence) as wretched and un-human, like. The Ukraine people gained nothing, from food to money, and lost everything. By the end of the genocide and famine, near 1935, nearly 20 million Ukraine people had perished.
